Fiona Paterson is a multidiciplinary artist working instinctively within a number of techniques and environments breaking the boundaries between them and exploring the resulting syntheses. She seeks to blur the lines between the disciplines to create a synthesis of ideas and techniques drawing frequently apon her influences from her Zimbabwean childhood and European roots. She often bases her work on the human condition and it's relation to and with the environment using resources such as recycled metal, clay and wood.

I am thrilled to have been selected for an artistic residency in the USA at the I-park artists in residence program in Connecticut in September. I will be exploring my work as an electrician as it relates to my art. This will be a time for me to concentrate solely on developing my ideas that have been going around my head for sometime and see where it takes me. Roll on September!
Je suis ravie d'avoir été sélectionnée pour une résidence artistique aux États-Unis dans le cadre du programme de résidence d'artistes I-park dans le Connecticut en septembre. Je vais explorer mon travail d'électricien en ce qui concerne mon art. Ce sera le moment pour moi de me concentrer uniquement sur le développement de mes idées qui me trottent dans la tête depuis un certain temps et de voir où cela me mène. Vivement Septembre!

Ce fut un honneur d'avoir été sélectionné avec une proposition collaborative appelée "Le Remuage", une célébration des réalisations de Madame Babette Clicquot qui a révolutionné le processus de fabrication du Champagne et inspiré les formes de l'œuvre d'art. Nous (Jill Gibson et moi-même) avons installé Le Remuage dans les jardins du Domaine Champagne Gosset, Epernay, France qui est ouvert au public pendant les heures d'ouverture du Domaine jusqu'au 10 septembre 2023.
