The Dance
Recycled metal and metal objects, concrete.
It was created for the Nannay short film festival in France.
It was the second time I had made my work for this festival and was touched and impressed by the work put into making it a success by volunteers in the small town. Their enthusiasm, their devotion and hard work was incredible. Despite the difficulties inlcuding those of Covid, this community continued to come together and work to make a success of the festival. This sculptural installation was in recognition of their efforts and a hommage to the painting by Matisse, The dance.
