Pillars of Life
Guandu Park Nature art festival, Taipei, Taiwan 2024
. “The pillars of Life” inspired by the column like forms of the Banyan tree roots, conveys a message of sustainability through its design and materials. It emphasizes the importance of conservation, economics/innovation, and community in building and maintaining a sustainable future.
It serves to convey the importance of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. It urges a collective rethinking of our impact on the environment and promotes sustainable practices. This sculpture invites all who encounter it to join in the journey toward a more sustainable and interconnected future.
The pillars are constructed from bamboo, reeds, rice straw and other natural materials.
